Primary objective
Deliver contemporary, quality-assured and timely analysis and reporting to a portfolio of client agencies that is used within those agencies
to meet operational reporting requirements.
Key duties and responsibilities
1. Perform high-level data manipulation and reporting to meet the differentiated business and planning needs of client agencies, including
documenting, and developing the reporting and information landscape.
2. Interpret and investigate business requests from client agencies to provide flexible and sustainable responses to data collection and
reporting to meet evolving requirements, including encouraging self-service of readily available information within client agencies
through proactive client engagement and upskilling end-users.
1. Undertake peer reviews and validation activities to ensure the effective delivery of management and performance reporting in line
with delivery service standards.
1. Collaborate with clients and colleagues to resolve issues and identify opportunities for improved service delivery, with an emphasis
building and maintaining productive working relationships.
1. Undertake the development and analysis of new and existing information, to provide quality reports, forecasting, activity assessment,
and advice to senior staff of Client Agencies.
Selection criteria
Essential
1. Contemporary knowledge of, and extensive experience in, qualitative and quantitative performance analysis, development and
implementation of performance management frameworks and the use of systems that support performance analysis and narration
such as SSRS (SSQL Server Reporting Services), Power BI, Business Objects, Crystal reports, Excel, and Visio.
1. Demonstrated knowledge of and experience with business systems, data domains, and Atlassian tools, e.g., Jira and Confluence, for
recording of data and reporting related process and procedure documents.
1. High level analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to work under pressure and prioritise commitments to meet critical
deadlines while maintaining high quality data and reporting standards.
1. High-level communication, interpersonal, negotiation and conflict resolution skills, with proven ability to build the capacity of others
and develop effective working relationships with stakeholders and clients of diverse professional and cultural backgrounds, with a
demonstrated ability to present data and information to various audiences.
1. Demonstrated work ethic and attitude which emulates DCDD values of being professional, accountable, honest, innovative, and
respectful.
Desirable
1. Tertiary Qualifications in a related discipline, e.g., ICT, Business Administration.
1. Relevant ITIL (Information Technology Infrastructure Library) qualification or similar certification.
2. Knowledge of issues impacting data collection and the delivery of government services across the Northern Territory.
