A great opportunity has opened for a motivated and experienced Mechanical HVAC Estimator to join our team.
About the Role
Reporting to the Director, you will play an integral role within the functions of the company in preparing tender submissions for commercial HVAC construction projects up to $10M.
As Mechanical HVAC Estimator, you will be responsible for
* Establish and maintain relationships with clients, suppliers and sub contractors.
* Review, prepare and submit tender pricing in accordance with technical specifications and documentation
* HVAC/Mechanical engineering design assistance.
* Manage tender email inbox and ensure all inbound correspondence is actioned.
* Attend site inspections/tender meetings as required.
* Liaise with suppliers and sub contractors in obtaining quotes and pricing.
* Provide technical advice to project managers, supervisors, and extended team.
* Prepare project information for new jobs to hand over to Project Manager.
Experience Required
* Trade qualification in Refrigeration and Air Conditioning (Certificate III) or equivalent practical HVAC background, highly regarded
* Minimum 5 years experience in HVAC estimating
* Strong understanding of the HVAC industry eg systems, materials and installation
* Proficiency in planning, organizing, and working to tight timelines and schedules.
* Strong computer skills, particularly in the Microsoft Office Suite. Essential: Word/Excel/Outlook
* Clear understanding of relevant Australian Codes and Standards, as well as OH&S Codes and Standards
