Administration Support Officer (Emergency)
The Emergency Department is a dynamic workplace which treats both Adult and Paediatric populations. It comprises 17 acute patient treatment areas, 3 resuscitation bays, triage, Queensland Ambulance Service QAS assessment areas, and a Fast-Track area for less acute presentations. The department also manages a 12-bed Short Stay Unit.
About the role:
This role involves providing, developing, and maintaining an efficient, effective, ethical, and confidential administrative support service to the Nurse Unit Manager NUM. It reports professionally to the Senior Administration Officer SAO Emergency Department and collaborates closely with the Nurse Unit Manager to support the unit's administrative needs.
About you:
* Qualifications in Administration or Business are well regarded.
* Knowledge of nursing employment awards and conditions.
* Ability to work autonomously and as part of a multidisciplinary team to deliver a customer-focused service.
* Ability to quickly acquire knowledge of medical terminology.
* High-level interpersonal skills, tact, diplomacy, and discretion in communication with all levels within the organization, the public, and external agencies.
What we offer:
Total remuneration value of up to $51,654, comprising:
* An hourly rate between $38.81 - $43.16
* 12.75 employer superannuation contribution
