The Opportunity:
As a Youth Worker, you will work as part of a dynamic team to deliver safe, fun and dynamic programs that create opportunities for personal growth and development for young people. With expertise working with young people, you will work collaboratively with young people and external stakeholders to support young people to achieve positive outcomes.
As a Youth Worker in an alternative education space, you will focus on delivering a robust Education, Training and Pathways Program targeting students in both middle and senior levels of school. This position is part time, 33.5 hours per week.

Key Responsibilities:
* Operational Excellence: Oversee the day-to-day operations, ensuring a fun, safe and dynamic environment for young people.
* Financial Leadership: Assist in financial planning, payroll, budgeting, and reporting.
* Team Management: Lead, inspire, and develop a high-performing team dedicated to delivering exceptional service and programs.
* Risk Management: Assist in overseeing risk management strategies to ensure a safe and secure environment in accordance with relevant legislation.
* Program Delivery: Design and deliver innovative programs that meet the needs of our diverse community.
* Project Planning: Assist in the development of both long-term and short-term projects for the successful operation of the centre, including program development and strategies for long-term success.
* Stakeholder Engagement: Engage, and collaborate to improve local relationships while working collaboratively to identifying partnerships, programs, and events that may benefit the community.
* Fostering Inclusiveness: Maintain a clean, welcoming, and open environment where all young people are welcome.
About you:
* Certificate III in Community Services, Youth Work or equivalent.
* Current NT driver’s license.
* Current First Aid Certificate (HLTAID003 or higher) and CPR.
* Youth Work Experience
* Well developed interpersonal and communication skills
* Ability to work under limited supervision and to demonstrate initiative when required.
* Certificate IV in Workplace Trainer and Assessor (desirable)
* Experience in case management and writing case notes (desirable)

* Valid Working with Children Clearance.
* Satisfactory Criminal History Check.
