Working within our broader revenue department, this role involves partnering with key stakeholders to report revenue across each of the mines, which forms the basis for all revenue reporting and revenue allocation across the group. This includes Treasury aspects associated with trade finance and cashflow reporting. Furthermore, preparation of accounting requirements of port and rail costs across the business.This role is based in our beautiful Newcastle office, we offer 1 day work from home and the remaining 4 days in the office. We also have parking nearby.What You’ll DoEnd of month revenue and logistics reporting requirements, including Marketing reporting/ Corporate reporting/ Board reporting/ ASX reporting requirements.Maintain sales hedging book as per internal policy requirements, including EOM hedge accounting reconciliations. Includes calculation of forward hedge exposure.Commercial partnering with Revenue team on contract/ invoicing/ trade finance requirements, including managing trade finance process, including establishing new Letters of Credit for each sale, and discounting for finance requirements.Reconciliation of all sales related and logistics related accruals and balance sheet items monthly.Budget and forecast preparation for LogisticsComplete all audit requirements including hard close, half and full year audit processes.Assist in the preparation of cashflow forecasting requirements in conjunction with several internal stakeholders including but not limited to Mine Accountants, AP, Payroll, Corporate, Procurement, Marketing, Logistics, Tax.What You’ll BringIn addition to working in a fast-paced dynamic environment, you will have:Bachelor of Commerce / Accounting / Business or related fieldCPA or CA membership, or intention to progress towards membershipGeneral Ledger experience (Pulse Mining ERP, SAP) desirable but not essentialBI System experience (TM1 / IBM Planning Analytics) desirable but not essentialWorks well under pressure and meets deadlinesHigh level of accuracy and attention to detailExcellent verbal and written communication skillsOrganisational skills and self-disciplineWhy Whitehaven Coal?Career development, mentorship and coachingNewly renovated office with water viewsASX Listed Industry leaderAttractive remuneration packageParking and annual tax-free share grantsTo be considered for this exciting opportunity, apply now and we will be in touch with you!Whitehaven Coal is committed to increasing the representation of women and Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples in the workplace.
