About The Role
The role of Administration Officer in the Andrew Love Cancer Centre is to provide confidential, high-quality administrative support to Cancer Services within Barwon Health while delivering excellent, professional, and compassionate customer service to patients, families, service providers, and the public in all interactions.
Key Responsibilities
* Provide front-line reception services, welcoming visitors and directing them appropriately to support efficient patient flow and timely care
* Manage appointments, patient registrations, admissions, and discharges across relevant hospital systems
* Deliver professional telephone and customer service, responding to enquiries and coordinating communication with patients and referrers
* Perform administrative tasks including reporting, medical record coordination, data updates, and general office duties
* Support team operations through staff training, role rotation, leave coverage, and adherence to Barwon Health policies and mandatory training requirements
What We're Looking For
* Previous experience in medical administration (highly desirable) with strong commitment to patient care and customer service
* Proven ability to work collaboratively within a team and adapt to a variety of tasks and responsibilities
* Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively with diverse stakeholders
* Strong organisational skills, including the ability to prioritise workload and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
* High level of accuracy and attention to detail, with proficiency in Microsoft Office and familiarity with health information systems
