Now, we're looking for a Senior Financial Accountant to join our Corporate Finance team in a 12-14 month contract and play a key role in driving strategic decisions across this exciting mix of industries.
About the Role
The Senior Financial Accountant plays a critical role in delivering high‐quality financial reporting, disciplined balance‐sheet management and robust financial control across the Group.
Reporting to the General Manager – Finance, the role provides senior‐level accounting capability while also contributing materially to Treasury activities, supporting funding, liquidity, covenant compliance and lender reporting.
Approximately 40–50% of the role is dedicated to Treasury support, working closely with the Group Treasurer to ensure accurate, timely and forward‐looking financial information that underpins funding decisions and risk management.
Key Responsibilities Include:
* Prepare high‐quality monthly Group management reports, including insightful commentary and cash flow variance analysis, presented to Group Shareholders monthly.
* Support the Group Treasurer with day‐to‐day Treasury operations, including cash flow monitoring and liquidity reporting.
* Prepare and maintain rolling 12‐36 month and long‐term five year projections, working closely with business unit finance teams.
* Support annual budgeting processes, including consolidation of Group budgets and Treasury‐related forecasts.
* Lead month‐end close processes, including journal preparation, balance sheet reconciliations and maintenance of supporting schedules.
* Prepare weekly and monthly cash flow analysis, highlighting funding movements, risks and emerging pressures.
* Perform loan, bank and facility reconciliations across all Group borrowing entities.
* Calculate and monitor financial covenants, headroom and compliance, and assist in preparing lender reporting packs and certifications.
* Prepare statutory and management financial statements (audited and unaudited) in accordance with relevant accounting standards.
* Support the year‐end audit process, acting as a key point of contact for auditors and coordinating required schedules and analysis.
What We're Looking For
* Minimum 5 years' post‐qualification experience in a corporate, professional services or complex Group environment.
* Strong grounding in financial accounting, management reporting and balance sheet control.
* Working knowledge of Treasury concepts including cash flow management, debt facilities and covenant monitoring.
* CA, CPA or equivalent professional qualification.
* Minimum Bachelor's degree, or higher, in Accounting and Finance.
* Advanced Excel and financial modelling capability; experience with consolidation and reporting systems (e.g. TM1, Sage, Caseware or similar) is advantageous.
* Experience in property industry advantageous.
