About the Role
This is an excellent opportunity for a Senior Accountant to take their skills to the next level and make a meaningful contribution to our team. As a key member of our Business Services division, you will be responsible for preparing financial statements, income tax returns, and providing business and tax advisory services.
* Prepare financial statements according to regulatory standards across various industries
* Prepare income tax returns for entities, including companies, trusts, and high-net-worth individuals
* Perform tax planning tasks, preparing advice on business operations and regulatory matters
* Provide business and tax advisory services, including business structuring, improvement, and growth advisory
* Liaise with clients, managers, and partners regarding queries
* Mentor junior staff in their training and development
Requirements
To succeed in this role, you will need:
* Experience in professional services, with a keen interest in tax and advisory
* Relationship building skills; liaising with teams across BDO and providing exceptional client service
* Demonstrated analytical/problem-solving ability
* Excellent attention to detail and a proactive approach to work
* Interest in or current completion of a CA or CPA qualification
* Familiarity with Advanced Professional Solutions (APS) and/or Xero is desirable
