About the Role
We are seeking a qualified Diesel Mechanic to join our growing team in Green Fields, SA.
This full-time role is crucial in ensuring our large fleet of hydro excavation trucks and heavy vehicles remain in peak operating condition, enabling us to deliver reliable service to our valued customers. You will be responsible for the maintenance, servicing, and repair of our specialised fleet, which plays a vital role in supporting critical projects across South Australia.
If you're a skilled technician who thrives in a fast-paced environment and takes pride in keeping machines running at their best, this is an opportunity to make a real impact. While the role is primarily workshop-based, occasional breakdown response and on-site support will form part of the position. Flexibility is key — overtime will be required at times, and a company vehicle is included as part of the package.
Key Responsibilities
As part of TigerVac's workshop and field support team, your role will include:
* Carrying out routine servicing and detailed inspections on our diesel-powered trucks and specialist equipment.
* Troubleshooting and repairing mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic faults to keep our fleet performing at its best.
* Taking a proactive approach to preventative maintenance, helping reduce downtime and extend the life of our vehicles.
* Responding to breakdowns and providing on-site support when required.
* Keeping accurate records by completing maintenance checklists, service reports, and job documentation.
* Working safely at all times, following WHS requirements and contributing to our strong safety-first culture.
About You
To be successful in this role, you will bring:
* Trade qualification as a Diesel Mechanic (essential).
* Current HR licence (essential).
* Previous experience working with heavy vehicles, hydraulics, and/or excavation equipment (preferred).
* Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills.
* A safety-first mindset with attention to detail.
* Pride in high-quality workmanship and reliability.
* Flexibility to adapt to varied work environments and tasks.
* A positive, proactive attitude with the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
