About the Role
We are seeking a capable and detail-oriented Finance Officer to join our Corporate and Finance team on a part-time basis (3 days per week, Monday to Wednesday).
This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working across accounts receivable, payroll support and reconciliations, and who is confident using Xero and Excel in a values-driven, community-focused environment.
Key Responsibilities
* Manage accounts receivable, including invoicing, client statements and aged debt follow-up
* Support debt recovery processes in line with organisational procedures
* Support the preparation and processing of fortnightly payroll
* Complete bank and credit card reconciliations
* Monitor and respond to finance-related inboxes
* Respond to client and supplier finance queries professionally and efficiently
* Prepare reports and tracking tools using advanced Excel
* Provide general finance and administration support to the Finance Manager and Accountant
About You
You are organised, reliable and confident working with financial systems and deadlines. You bring a professional and respectful approach to sensitive financial matters and enjoy working collaboratively.
You will have
* Experience in accounts receivable and/or bookkeeping
* Demonstrated experience processing payroll
* Experience using Xero
* Advanced Excel skills (e.g. pivot tables, lookups, reconciliations and reporting)
* High attention to detail and strong time management skills
* Clear communication skills and a customer-focused mindset
* Certificate III in Accounting, Finance or Business
* Experience in not-for-profit, community services or aged care
