Shape our customers' digital strategies As a Pre-Sales Solutions Engineer, you will sit at the heart of the sales process. You will be the technical evangelist supporting customers with the adoption of our products and services. You'll play a pivotal role in showing customers the value of our solutions and closing the sale. As a Solutions Engineer, you will be responsible for: Working with Sales to develop evangelizing Akamai's technology through presentations, analysis reports, and proof of concepts Understanding customers' business goals & requirements, translate them to technical problems, and map them to Akamai solutions Overseeing project's delivery with Service Delivery teams, & ensuring the project is aligned with the customer's requirements Building trusted relationships with customers' decision-makers to articulate Akamai's value proposition and build future revenue opportunities Supporting Sales, Marketing & other internal departments to ensure customers get appropriate updates, upgrades, and event-oriented solutions. Working closely with Product teams to develop product direction and strategy by providing input from the field Mentoring and leading staff within Solutions Engineering, Sales, and the larger Service & Support organization Do what you love To be successful in this role you will: Have a Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Management Information System or related technical field Have knowledge or understanding in one or more topics across: CDN, Media Streaming, Cloud or Web security Have minimum 6-8 years of experience in a customer facing environment such as technical sales or consulting. Demonstrate good written/verbal presentation skills and have the ability to collaborate with external and internal stakeholders Demonstrate good business judgment, and passion to build exceptional client relationships Display problem-solving skills, a desire for results, and an appetite to learn new technologies Have experience HTTP, DNS, JavaScript, RESTful APIs, microservices, cloud, or Node.js, Python, Go or equivalent.
