We are excited to represent this client again for this opportunity for a Bar Manager. This is an iconic Gold Coast venue, going through a significant transformation with a complete renovation, re-opening early this year. One of the most awarded restaurants/bar's on the Gold Coast, with modern Asian cuisine and an impressive beverage and wine list. The group also has another established restaurant, offering something a bit more playful and intimate. Owned by a genuine hospitality family, who live and breathe the industry, passing on all their strong values and professionalism to their friendly and service driven team. The Role: As Bar Manager, you will oversee all aspects of bar operations, bringing both creative flair and strong leadership to the front line. This is a very hands-on role where your presence, standards, and personality will shape the bar’s ongoing success. Key Responsibilities: Bar Operations: Full oversight of day-to-day operations including stock control, supplier liaison, and compliance. Team Leadership: Lead, inspire and train a tight-knit team of 5–6 bartenders to deliver outstanding service. Recruitment & Rostering: Hire exceptional talent and create efficient, cost-effective rosters. Cocktail Program: Design and maintain a seasonal, trend-forward cocktail menu that reflects the brand. Budget & Cost Control: Manage bar budgets, drive beverage revenue, and maintain COGS targets. Wine Knowledge: A sound understanding of wine styles and service is essential. Service Standards: Work closely with the restaurant team to ensure seamless beverage service across the venue. About You: Proven experience in a similar Bar Manager or senior bar leadership role. Confident with cost control, team management, and supplier negotiations. Creative and current with global cocktail trends. Solid wine knowledge – WSET or similar certification a plus.
