About The Position
As a Home Modifications Installer, you will carry out a variety of specialised home modifications for our clients across Adelaide and surrounding regions. This is a rewarding and autonomous role where your work directly impacts the quality of life for people in your community. You'll be supported with ongoing learning and training to further develop your skills and advance your trade. Whilst the role is largely independent, you may also collaborate with our carpentry and other teams on larger or more complex projects. We're looking for someone with a friendly, approachable manner and a strong sense of integrity, patience, and organisational ability. A commitment to quality workmanship and outstanding customer service is essential, as you'll be playing a key role in helping clients live more safely and independently at home.
What You'll Be Doing
Installation of modifications, including grab rails, handrails, hand showers, steps, and ramps at clients' homes.
Undertaking 1st and 2nd fix carpentry.
Assisting the carpentry team with onsite ramp builds.
Preparing items for installation and transporting materials in the company van.
Completing and submitting job sheets.
Reporting any on-site issues to management.
Undertaking daily safety checks and maintenance of the company van.
About You
3+ years of relevant experience in carpentry, cabinetry and/or installations.
A Certificate III or equivalent trade qualification in Carpentry, or Cabinetry.
Experience in residential renovations/modifications (NDIS experience a plus).
White Card and full driver's licence with clean driving record.
A high degree of empathy and a robust work ethic.
Approachable, personable, patient and organised.
Must be able to work independently unsupervised and within a team.
Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to use initiative.
Thorough attention to detail and accuracy.
Ability to undertake manual labour and physically demanding tasks.
Ability to utilise mobile phone apps and technology.
Must have full working rights in Australia.
Must be willing to undertake a pre-employment medical and drug and alcohol screening prior to commencement.
Must have or be willing to obtain a National Police Check, NDIS Worker Check, Aged Care and Working with Children Check and undertake mandatory training prior to commencement.
