About the Opportunity
This is a 13-month maternity leave contract (April 2025 – May 2026), offering a rare opportunity for an experienced Finance Manager to lead the finance function in a thriving, mid-sized manufacturing business.
As a key member of the leadership team, you will play a central role in driving commercial performance and operational efficiency. Your expertise in financial reporting, risk management, and business improvement will directly influence profitability and support strategic decision-making.
Reporting to the General Manager, your core responsibilities will include:
* Leading all financial compliance including BAS, IAS, payroll tax, and supplier reporting
* Overseeing invoicing, credit approvals, and collections with a focus on cash flow
* Leading the finance team and contributing to business planning and improvement
* Driving ERP and systems optimisation to improve accuracy and efficiency
* Managing payroll and supporting HR with employee records and compliance
* Controlling accounts payable, supplier reconciliations, and asset management
* Delivering month-end closeout, cash flow forecasting, and management reporting
About You
You are an accomplished finance professional who brings:
* Proven success in finance leadership roles within manufacturing or project-driven environments
* Strong technical accounting capabilities and commercial acumen
* Deep understanding of business drivers and how to improve profitability
* Proficiency in MYOB and MS Dynamics Business Central (or similar ERP systems)
* Outstanding attention to detail, analytical thinking, and operational discipline
* A collaborative mindset, high personal integrity, and natural leadership skills
