Thaigga is an award-winning restaurant offering a Thai Fusion menu. We offer traditional Thai dishes and add our unique twist to some dishes. We're looking for a Chef de Parties who is experienced and knowledgeable on Thai cuisine to join our culinary team.
The restaurant is fully licensed and offers a great range of local and international beers, wines & spirits.
Some of your primary duties will include:
* Inspect food preparation and serving areas to ensure observance of safe, sanitary food-handling practices.
* Season and cook food according to recipes.
* Assist the Head Chef by managing quality control of all the dishes before they are served to the guests.
* Promptly notify the Head Chef of any maintenance problems or unsafe conditions in or around the kitchen.
* Properly care for food supplies and leftovers.
* Work with the Head Chef to coordinate the ordering of food and supplies.
* Work with the Head Chef to develop menus.
You must possess the following skills:
* In-depth knowledge of Thai culture and cuisine.
* Ability to speak Thai and English.
* Attention to detail
* Business sense e.g. budgeting, inventory preparation etc.
* Cleanliness
* Creativity
* Fast-paced decision making
* Organised
The minimum qualification is a Certificate IV in Commercial Cookery or higher. You must also have at least 1 year of experience in a commercial kitchen for a Thai restaurant.
