Uniting Garden Suburb is seeking experienced Care Workers to join our warm and welcoming aged care community. We're offering casual as well as permanent part‐time opportunities across AM, PM and Night Duty shifts, with the chance to make a real difference in the lives of our residents every day.
Nestled on the edge of a serene bushland reserve in the Lake Macquarie region of NSW, Uniting Garden Suburb is a peaceful and welcoming aged care home. It has three separate households, each with between 25 and 30 residents and includes a secure household for people living with dementia or mental health illness. Our Uniting Homemaker ensures that the community is thriving and doing things that are meaningful and enjoyable.
What you'll be doing in this role
* Provide care, companionship and emotional support to residents, helping support their independence and improve their quality of life.
* Provide daily living assistance such as showering, personal hygiene, dressing, help at mealtimes and with general mobility.
* Assist with medication and easy wound dressings.
* Support residents in community‐based recreational and social activities.

Who we're looking for
* Certificate III/IV in Aged Care, Individual Support, or equivalent qualification.
* Previous experience in aged or community care, or a passion to begin a career in aged care if you're studying or have recently become qualified.
* Adaptability, empathy, and resourcefulness, and the ability to live Uniting's everyday values of compassion, respect, imagination, and boldness.
