The Role:
As a Club General Manager (CGM), you will play a key role in driving a culture of excellence, community, and high performance, working alongside our Executive Team, Regional Performance Managers, and Directors.
Key Responsibilities:
* Manage the club's overall budgets and financials, including member growth, EBITDA, and retention strategies.
* Oversee a large-scale gym with 3000+ members, including a crèche, retail & apparel store, and café.
* Manage daily club operations, ensuring facilities are well maintained and of high quality.
* Recruit, onboard, train, and retain staff members.
* Provide training, mentoring, and support to Department Heads, and run weekly team meetings.
* Oversee staff scheduling, approve leave, and manage payroll.
* Utilize internal software systems like Clubware, Debit Success, and Gym Sales to ensure compliance with procedures.
* Plan and execute club events such as open days and 8-week challenges.
* Prepare and analyze statistical reports.
What You'll Need to Succeed:
* Experience managing a large gym with more than 20 staff and over 2,000 members.
* Proven track record in a KPI-driven environment with a focus on achieving targets.
* Excellent rapport-building skills with diverse populations.
* A growth mindset and passion for fitness and sales.
* Strong problem-solving skills and resilience.
* Outstanding communication skills – listening, understanding, empathizing, and influencing.
* Customer-focused attitude with a drive for exceptional outcomes.
* Ability to model health values and promote the gym brand.
* A proactive, reliable, and professional approach with a positive attitude and willingness to learn.
* Highly motivated team player capable of multitasking and taking initiative.
* Computer literacy and adaptability to new systems.
* Ability to communicate policies and procedures effectively.
* Current First Aid and CPR certifications (or willingness to obtain).
* Australian working rights.
