Digitisation Officer – Western Sydney Council

Join a dedicated Information Management team supporting a major Western Sydney council in transforming physical records into digital assets. This hands‑on digitisation role is perfect for someone who thrives on accuracy, consistency, and well‑defined processes.
About the Role
As a Digitisation Officer, you will be responsible for the end‑to‑end conversion of hardcopy files into digital format. Your daily tasks will include:
Scanning physical documents
Performing detailed quality checks
Registering records into Content Manager (CM9)
Completing weekly payroll scanning each Tuesday, where precision in data entry is critical
Working to a clear KPI of processing a minimum of 30 boxes per month
Skills & Experience
We're looking for someone who can bring:
Proven experience in records or information management
Exceptional attention to detail, particularly with repetitive or process‑driven tasks
Strong computer literacy and confidence using multiple software applications
Hands‑on experience in digitising physical files
Knowledge of the NSW State Records Act 1998, including Digitisation Specifications GA45 and relevant Disposal Authorities
