About the Role
The Reliability and Production Engineering (RPE) group seeks an energetic team member to manage production environments and application support for the Asia & Australia Wealth Management platform. The role covers ITIL Production Management topics, including Incident, Problem, Event, and Environment/Monitoring Management, and requires collaboration with developers, data operations, and other support teams across Australia and APAC.
What You'll Do
* Own production requests, questions, and issues.
* Identify gaps in production environment support.
* Manage production problem incidents, perform post‐incident analysis and follow‐ups.
* Plan for IT, business, and market change events.
* Communicate internally and externally with downstream consumers, development teams, and vendors.
* Take proactive initiatives to stabilize and improve processes.
* Act as an escalation point for clients and Level 3 engineering teams.
* Document knowledge articles and support pages.
* Coordinate with external parties (markets, data providers, etc.) to resolve issues.
What You'll Bring
* Strong communication skills, able to switch between technical terminology and business language.
* Experience investigating issues through logs, code, and databases.
* Incident management experience for application issues.
* Flexibility for weekend on‐call rotation (every 3 weeks).
* Good collaboration with Application Development and a maintained knowledge base.
* Effective communication across internal, external groups, and business clients.
* Drive follow‐up on issues and provide regular updates.
Skills Required
* Proficiency in scripting languages including Python and Java; ability to automate environment tasks with Python.
* Professional ownership of incidents and end‐user requests.
* Experience documenting support processes in a dynamic enterprise environment.
* ITIL, production management, and analytical/debugging skills.
* Team‐player mindset in a global and diverse setting.
* Willingness to learn and take initiative.
* Basic exposure to RDBMS (preferably Sybase/DB2) and strong SQL skills.
* Linux and Unix operational knowledge.
Additional Skills / Experience That Would Be Good to Have
* Experience with System Reliability Engineering practices, such as observability.
* Knowledge of the financial industry.
* Development experience in Java.
* Previous experience supporting reference data or middleware architectures.
