As part of our Future Naval Systems and Autonomy group, the Test Engineer will be responsible for contributing to the development, planning and execution of the Verification program for allocated projects relating to the Collins Class Submarines Integrated Ship Control Management and Monitoring System (ISCMMS). This includes development of the Acceptance Test Procedures, maintenance of the Requirements Verification Matrix (RVM) and ongoing contribution to the test program to support requirements sell-off to the customer.
Responsibilities
- Provide technical input to the verification program, including the identification, monitoring and mitigation of technical risks associated with the verification activities.
- Maintain the project’s RVM, including the management of test results and supporting OQE.
- Develop subsystem Test Acceptance Procedures and test reports and identify/review OEM test evidence for suitability for use by the project.
- Support the Project Engineering Manager in the preparation and conduct of verification reviews/audits (e.g., Test Readiness Review, Functional Configuration Audit/Physical Configuration Audit).
- Contribute to Saab’s verification plans and reports.
- Conduct impact analysis / change management resulting from the V&V; program.
- Ability to spend large amounts of time conducting testing activities at the customer site at Osborne, SA.
Flexible work arrangements such as a 9-day fortnight will be considered for this role.
About You
Your skills and experience will include:
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience in testing of software systems
- Experience in the maritime or submarines domain (Desired)
- Demonstrated ability to work to schedules and budgets
- Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with an external customer organisation towards program strategic goals
As a defence security clearance is required for this role, applicants will be required to hold an Australian Defence Security Clearance preferably to NV1 level or have the ability to gain one. Information including past and present nationality and citizenship may be requested to check eligibility for access to materials controlled under various export control regimes, including ITAR.
