Human Resources Business Partner Merivale

We're looking for aPeople Experience Partner (HR Business Partner) to play a critical role in executing Merivale's People Operations strategy and mitigating business risk across operational portfolios.
This role is responsible for delivering consistent, high-impact support that enables performance, compliance, and a culture of care.
Acting as a trusted partner to operational leaders, this role provides strategic guidance across the employee lifecycle with a solid focus on embedding group-wide initiatives, championing people-first, commercially sound, and operationally excellent practices that align to business priorities and elevate the employee experience.
The role
- People Partnering - Partner with Senior Leaders to drive continuous improvement through people strategies and solutions that address business challenges and encourage innovation.
- Partner across business functions to influence positive culture, drive behavioural change and provide leadership advisory support.
- Employee Relations - Provide advisory support on ER/IR matters to portfolio to mitigate risk and protect business reputation.
- Maintain ER standards, processes, reporting and frameworks to ensure governance over documentation, case records, and compliance.
- Work Health & Safety - Manage non-work-related illness/injury processes, including RTW coordination, manager liaison, and closures.
- Maintain wellbeing documentation and implement initiatives to support employee engagement and safety.
- HR generalist experience within a fast-paced environment.
- Demonstrated experience in providing technical expertise, coaching and advice in ER/IR, Immigration, and Award related matters
- Discretion and professionalism in handling sensitive information.
- Clear and confident communicator with a can-do, collaborative mindset.
- Ideally, you will have working knowledge of the Hospitality Industry award and previous operational or HR experience in Hospitality or Retail
- Someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment with a proactive approach to work.
