Our Space Planners play an exciting role in making sure our full range of much-loved products have a home in our stores and the department layout reflects an excellent customer experience
What you'll be doing
* Drive innovation in the utilisation of store space, whilst ensuring space allocations meet range commitments.
* Ensure planograms reflect the Kmart business strategy, merchandising principles and customer buying patterns.
* Ensure planograms are optimised using financial, visual and operational guidelines.
* Provide accurate and timely layout information to the relevant category and merchandise teams as required.
* Coordinate all communications of layout changes to our store teams and ensure they can be executed in the most operationally efficient way.
* Using Power BI and Space Optimisation reporting, review generic floor plans to maximise space opportunities and product capacity to drive sales/profit for Kmart Group.
To be successful in this role you'll have
* Retail / merchandise / space planning experience.
* Demonstrated capability in negotiation, influencing and the ability to engage with multiple stakeholders.
* Experience using MS Office, Power BI and Space Management software (Spaceman and/or Blue yonder).
* A hands‑on approach and the ability to set up physical concepts in stores.
* A creative side to you coupled with a proactive problem‑solving mindset.
* Outstanding communication, planning and organisational skills.
