* A highly experienced Legal Counsel with a strong background in employment law is sought after to support and lead the legal team across Australia and New Zealand.
* The ideal candidate will be based in Sydney or Melbourne, requiring relocation for this position.
The Impact You'll Make:
* You will be responsible for identifying and resolving employment-related issues affecting Uber's business and its relationship with users of the app.
* Handle litigation disputes and employment litigation involving both employees and drivers/delivery partners.
* Collaborate with cross-functional teams to proactively identify employment law risks related to Uber's business.
* Brief and manage external counsel on litigation and disputes where necessary.
* Advise Uber's HR team on employment matters, including recruiting, hiring, training, performance management, compensation, benefits, and terminations.
* Prepare and conduct training for HR and the business on various employment-related topics.
* Draft, review, and negotiate employment documents, including contracts, restrictive covenant agreements, assignment letters, separation agreements, and policies/handbooks.
Key Requirements:
* 6+ years of experience in employment law in Australia.
* NZ employment law experience is beneficial but not required.
