About the Role
You will play a vital part in providing quality clinical care and administrative assistance to practice clinicians, as well as engaging with patients in a positive and professional way. Your day will involve providing chair-side assistance to the dentist in the delivery of dental services to patients. You will undertake reception work and administrative tasks such as booking and recall of patients, updating patient records as well as maintaining optimal hygiene of the surgery and implement infection control procedures. You can expect to feel a unique sense of accomplishment and pride from caring for those who serve and protect our country.
About You
You display passion and positivity as a proud and professional dental assistant who is trusted to provide the highest standard of care to patients. You can work autonomously and thrive in a busy environment where you enjoy working as part of a multi-disciplinary team. Alongside your engaging manner, you have a positive work attitude, outstanding communication skills and a strong people focus, enabling you to engage effectively with patients and team members alike.
**To be successful in this role, you will have**:
Certificate III in Dental Assisting or nationally recognised equivalent qualification.
Minimum of 2 years (full time equivalent) experience within the last 5 years.
Recent participation in Continuing Professional Development (CPD) activities.
Current First Aid (HLTAID011) and Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (HLTAID009) certification.
Ability to work independently as well as part of a multi-disciplinary team to support the delivery of safe, efficient and high-quality care to patients within a dental surgery.
This is a position of trust and responsibility and to support this we will conduct a thorough probity assessment, which includes a national police check as an essential selection component for this role.
