We're Convenient Plumbing, a fast-growing, family-run plumbing company based in Townsville—and we're on the hunt for a Sales & Operations Manager ready to lead from the front.
Our team is young, hungry, and genuinely passionate about doing things right—from quoting and customer service to high-end residential plumbing, drainage, gas & roofing works. We're looking for someone to help us streamline and scale our quoting and job costing processes & handle the daily operations so we can provide a second to none service

What's the Role?
You'll take ownership of our sales pipeline and operations, working across quoting, margin analysis, client follow-ups & check ins, and internal systems (mainly SimPRO, Podium & Safety Culture). You'll collaborate directly with management, admin, and our field techs to make sure nothing falls through the cracks—and that every job runs smoother and more profitable than the last.
This is a hands-on leadership role with real opportunity to shape how we operate and grow.

Key Responsibilities
* Oversee all quoting and sales processes from lead to invoice
* Manage SimPRO quoting, job costing, and margin optimisation liaise with Team Leader.
* Analyse data and develop strategies to improve conversion and profitability
* Drive customer communication, upsells, and repeat business
* Work closely with our admin and trade teams to improve efficiency
* Provide training and support to help our team nail every quote
* Attend & inspect properties and projects to prepare quotations, upfront pricing and tenders.
* Must hold a valid Australian driver's licence for property inspections and site visits
* Support business development efforts with clean, scalable systems

We're Looking For Someone Who:
* Has experience in sales operations, estimating or quoting— in plumbing, construction, or trades
* Must have 2-5 years of sales operations, estimating or quoting experience
* Understands job costing, pricing structures, and how to improve margins
* Must demonstrate intermediate level job costing and margin analysis experience
* Has experience with CRMs and quoting systems (SimPRO & Podium = big plus)
* Thrives in fast-paced, team-oriented environments
* Can communicate clearly across customers, tradespeople, admin, and leadership
* Has a growth mindset and a sharp eye for system improvement
* Must be an Australian citizen to be eligible for this position
