Overview
SK SOLAR OZ is a leading renewable energy contractor operating across NSW, VIC, QLD, NSW & WA. We specialise in the design, supply and installation of solar tracking systems for large solar farm projects.
Position
We are recruiting a Mechanical Team Leader – Tracker Installation to manage a mechanical assembly and installation team across solar farm sites, primarily based in Dubbo, NSW.
Responsibilities
* Lead and manage a team of solar panel installers, ensuring efficient task distribution and high productivity.
* Oversee daily operations, ensuring adherence to safety standards, work schedules and quality expectations.
* Perform mechanical duties including tubing, panel rails, post heads, splice brackets, slew drives and motors; select appropriate tools and equipment for assembly and installation.
* Provide guidance, training and support to new and existing team members.
* Ensure proper alignment and positioning of panels to maximise energy efficiency.
* Enforce strict adherence to safety protocols and regulatory requirements to prevent accidents and maintain a safe work environment.
* Execute quality assurance inspections, sign off ITPs and ITCs.
Qualifications
* Tertiary qualification in technical mechanical engineering or equivalent experience.
* Significant experience working within the photovoltaic industry, with remote site experience essential.
* Excellent organisational, communication and delegation skills.
* Proficient in spreadsheets, email and word document applications.
* Reliable, trustworthy, positive attitude.
Compensation & Benefits
Salary AUD$87,000 per annum plus superannuation.
Location & Travel
Full-time (38 hours per week) positioned in Dubbo, NSW (2830). Travel to remote sites required.
