Primary Objective
The Nurse Project Consultant undertakes project work that supports the system-wide strategic direction of the nursing profession and supports the Office of the Chief Nursing and Midwifery Officer in providing expert advice to the Department of Health, Northern Territory Health Executive, and the Minister for Health. Drawing on advanced clinical nursing expertise, the incumbent will lead the development and implementation of strategic projects aimed at strengthening nursing services and professional practice across the Northern Territory. Key priorities include undertaking project work to advance the nursing profession within the Northern Territory and achieving the objectives outlined in the NT Health Strategic Plan and the NT Health Nursing and Midwipery Plan. The role requires a strong understanding of First Nations populations in the NT and a demonstrated commitment to supporting Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander colleagues.
