Carpentry Professional
The primary responsibility of this role is to study construction drawings, procure materials, and assemble structural components. This encompasses a range of tasks including carpentry and joinery as part of renovation projects.
1. Study architectural plans and specifications to determine necessary materials, dimensions, and installation procedures.
2. Order and select timbers and materials, prepare layouts, and ensure they meet required standards.
3. Cut and shape materials, assemble, and nail parts together.
4. Erect frameworks, roof framing, lay sub-flooring and floorboards, and verify the accuracy of structures.
5. Nail fascia panels, sheathe roofs, and fit exterior wall cladding, door and window frames.
6. Assemble prepared wood to form structures and fittings ready for installation.
7. Repair existing fixtures.
8. Work with various materials including plastics laminates, perspex, and metals.
