We are looking for a Merchandise Planner to oversee inventory planning, product performance, and lifecycle management across our eyewear categories and our incredible retail brands - Sunglass Hut, Oakley, Ray Ban, OPSM, Laubman & Pank and EyeQ.
This role ensures the right optical frames, sunglasses, lenses, and accessories are available at the right time and in the right locations. As a centralised company you will work alongside global teams to create strategies to optimise service levels, drive inventory efficiency and reduce obsolescence.
You will work cross-functionally with Operations, Visual Merchandising and Product depts to drive best in class execution.
Please note this is a 6 month Fixed Term Contract with the potential to go permanent for the right candidate.
Your responsibilities
* Analyse sales, trends, and customer demand to forecast product performance.
* Develop seasonal and annual merchandise plans by category, brand, and location.
* Work with our global Head Office in Milan on the full product lifecycle — from initial launch to replenishment, markdown, and end-of-life decisions.
* Monitor inventory levels and make recommendations on reorders, promotions, and clearance strategies.
* Partner with marketing and visual teams to support launches and in-store campaigns.
* Manage open-to-buy budgets, ensuring alignment with sales and margin targets.
* Conduct regular performance reviews of core, seasonal, and exclusive collections.
* Ensure optimal stock availability across stores and channels (retail and e-commerce).
* Provide actionable insights based on data analysis and market trends.
Your experience
* 3+ years of retail merchandise planning experience
* Strong understanding of product lifecycle management and retail sales strategies.
* Advanced Excel skills; experience with planning tools (e.g.SAP) is a plus
* Analytical, detail-oriented, and highly organized.
* Strong communication and collaboration skills across teams.
* Commercial awareness and a passion for retail trends
* Enjoys the balance of working autonomously and collaborating with a team
