About the opportunity
We have an exciting ongoing full-time opportunity for a Business Systems Developer who will contribute by:
1. Analysing and resolving reported problems with ESV's business systems portfolio
2. Development of software builds across ESV's Systems to support the Release Management and Defect Resolution processes
3. Identifying opportunities for the continuous improvement of business systems, including the resolution of any ongoing or systemic issues
4. Performing administrative and maintenance tasks within our business systems
5. Work within Business Systems, operations and architecture team to ensure that the support requirements of business systems are being met
6. Developing relationships with business system owners and end users to gain understanding of their responsibilities and operational needs
7. Participating and providing guidance and input to business teams in areas of technical feasibility, system interfaces
8. Adhering to the release management framework and associated procedures business systems
9. Contributing to design & build documentation and maintain internal documentation
10. Leading business system upgrades/changes in accordance with established procedures
To be successful, you'll have:
11. Relevant tertiary qualifications in technology, information management, computer science or engineering
12. Programming skills in Pega, Java, JSEE ( JBoss), javascript and database integration
13. Experience in supporting Business Intelligence (Tableau or Power BI), Geospatial systems and Business Process Management (BPS)
14. Demonstrable capability with software development practices and methodologies
15. Proven experience supporting varied business systems in a corporate environment
