About the Role
Reporting to a highly regarded and experienced General Manager – Safety, the National Manager – Safety Assurance will lead and strengthen the organisation's Safety Assurance Framework nationally.
This role provides visible, credible assurance that safety systems are fit for purpose, compliant and continuously improving. You will take ownership of internal audits, governance processes and assurance reporting, ensuring safety systems not only meet legislative and corporate requirements, but genuinely protect people and support operational performance.
Operating at both a strategic and hands‑on level, you'll work closely with senior leaders and site teams to drive consistency, simplify processes and translate assurance insights into meaningful action.

To Be Successful, You'll Need
* Demonstrated experience in a senior safety assurance, governance or risk role within complex, multi‑site or high‑risk environments
* Strong knowledge of WHS legislation, regulatory compliance and audit frameworks
* Proven capability designing, implementing and uplifting safety assurance systems and governance processes
* Experience leading internal and external audit programs, including certifications and inspections
* The ability to translate data, audits and metrics into clear insights and practical improvement actions
* A visible, engaging leadership style with the credibility to influence from boardroom to site level
* A pragmatic mindset — able to balance best practice with what works operationally
