Reporting to the Service Manager of Hallam Truck Centre, this is a rare and rewarding opportunity for a motivated Service Workshop Manager to lead, support and manage the daily operations within our busy Service Workshop.
This role plays a key part in driving the performance and efficiency of the workshop team while ensuring high-quality service outcomes, safety standards, and customer satisfaction. The successful candidate will demonstrate strong leadership, a focus on continuous improvement, and a commitment to maintaining manufacturer standards and company policies.

Key Responsibilities
* Oversee and coordinate daily workshop operations, ensuring productivity, efficiency, and quality standards are met
* Support and lead workshop staff, ensuring they have the tools, training, and direction needed to perform at their best
* Ensure all work is completed to manufacturer specifications and within agreed timeframes
* Oversee apprentice and technician training, development, and performance reviews
* Promote and enforce safe work practices and compliance with company policies and procedures
* Monitor and manage workshop performance, productivity, and workflow
* Deliver outstanding customer service, ensuring all customer concerns are addressed promptly and effectively
* Collaborate closely with the Service Manager to achieve key performance objectives and continuous improvement initiatives
* Maintain accurate and detailed service records and reporting
Skills and Experience
* Proven experience in a workshop leadership or supervisory role within the automotive or heavy vehicle industry
* Strong technical knowledge of service and repair processes
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build effective relationships across all levels
* A hands‑on leader with a commitment to safety, teamwork, and service excellence
* Strong organisational and problem‑solving skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities
* Sound computer literacy and familiarity with service management systems
