As an Enrolled Nurse at Adelaide Remand Centre, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality healthcare to inmates, working under the direction and supervision of a Registered Nurse. This is an opportunity to contribute to a safe and supportive healthcare environment, ensuring the well-being of patients while upholding best practices and clinical standards.
As a key member of our healthcare team, you will:
* Provide direct patient care, including administering medications, wound care, and health assessments within your scope of practice.
* Support and collaborate with Registered Nurses to ensure the effective delivery of healthcare services.
* Participate in clinical governance, quality improvement initiatives, and health surveillance activities.
* Respond to medical emergencies and provide treatment as required within your qualifications.
* Maintain accurate clinical records and documentation, ensuring compliance with policies and protocols.
* Contribute to the induction and supervision of new staff and students, fostering a culture of professional development and teamwork.
To be successful in this role, you’ll have:
* Current registration as an Enrolled Nurse (Division 2) with AHPRA.
* Minimum of one year of post-graduate experience, ideally in primary health, rural health, or emergency nursing.
* Comprehensive clinical knowledge and the ability to deliver safe, patient-centered care.
* Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
* A commitment to cultural awareness and ethical healthcare practice, ensuring respect and inclusivity for diverse populations.
