A new opportunity exists for an experienced Procurement Officer to coordinate and manage the end-to-end procurement and tender processes including ensuring all procurement activities are conducted efficiently, transparently, and in alignment with company frameworks and organisational standards.
Primary Objectives:
* Coordinate the full lifecycle of procurement and tender processes, from planning through to contract award.
* Prepare, distribute, and manage Requests for Tender (RFTs) and Requests for Quotation (RFQs), including supplier proposal evaluation and presentation preparation for senior management.
* Provide expert procurement advice to stakeholders, ensuring compliance with relevant company frameworks and internal policies.
* Oversee contract administration, track key milestones, and maintain accurate records in procurement systems.
* Drive process improvements and support training initiatives across the business.
* Promote efficiency, quality, and value-for-money in procurement decisions.
* Build and maintain collaborative relationships with internal teams and external suppliers.
* Assist in the development and administration of the Procurement Framework in collaboration with Finance and IT teams.
* Maintain supplier relationships to ensure alignment with commercial and operational requirements.
* Provide procurement-related training and support to internal staff.
* Advise staff on standard product and supplier information, promoting the use of national standard product ranges.
* Maintain the approved supplier register, accreditation records, and associated documentation to ensure accuracy and currency.
The successful person will need to possess the following:
* Bachelor's degree in finance, law, engineering or other related field.
* Proven experience in procurement and contract management in manufacturing or similar environment.
* Strong understanding of procurement principles, practices, and relevant tender management frameworks.
* Ability to analyse supplier proposals and prepare clear, concise reports and presentations.
* Proven track record of building effective supplier relationships and delivering procurement efficiencies.
* Experience working in a matrixed or cross-functional business environment.
* Strong communication, collaboration and stakeholder management skills.
* Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a dynamic environment.
* Proficiency in relevant systems (e.g. Microsoft 365).
