Associate / Senior Associate, Disputes & Investigations – Projects Disputes

Your role
You will be a part of our band‐1 practice and work with lawyers across all of our offices. Working closely with our Partners and the wider team, you will gain exposure to the most complex and interesting projects in the market. You will be advising clients from across various sectors, including government and healthcare through to infrastructure, transport, mining, critical minerals, renewable energy, and property development.
* Disputes relating to the development and construction of infrastructure, mining, property development and renewable energy projects
* Commercial and contractual disputes and supreme court litigation throughout Australia
* Expert determination, mediations, DRBs/DABs and other alternative dispute resolution mechanisms
* Providing advice regarding claims and dispute resolution during the project delivery phase across a range of significant Australian and international projects
* Adjudication under the Security of Payment Legislation
This is a permanent, full‐time opportunity. At Allens we have a hybrid working structure, typically 60% in the office and 40% from home. We would be happy to discuss any other flexible working arrangements that best support you.
About you
* Experience in construction and project disputes, litigation and claim resolution, ideally from a leading top‐tier, national or international firm
* An ability to effectively manage larger matters, and to work collaboratively as part of a team both internally within Allens and externally with our clients' teams
* A willingness to participate in business development activities such as pitch documents, firm‐wide pursuits, article writing, attending industry events and hosting seminars
* A desire to learn, grow, network, and to mentor our junior lawyers
