Lead the Growth of Community Football Across Tasmania
We are seeking an experienced and passionate Community Football Manager to lead and grow grassroots football across Tasmania. This is a senior leadership role responsible for delivering high-quality community programs, supporting stakeholders statewide, and driving strategic participation growth — with a strong and deliberate focus on increasing participation in women’s and girls’ football.
This role will oversee two regional Community Officers (North and South) and provide the leadership, direction and operational excellence required to maximise participation opportunities and foster life-long engagement with the game.
About us
Football Tasmania is the governing body responsible for growing, developing and promoting football (soccer) throughout Tasmania. We’re a Member Federation of Football Australia, the national governing body for our sport.
With more than 41,000 participants across the State, our football is the State’s most played team sport for young people.
We’re a small team with a big mission – to provide opportunities for Tasmanians to have a healthy, enjoyable and connected life through participation in football.
We work with Tasmania’s clubs and junior associations to ensure that everyone can get involved in football, from under-5s to our top-flight men’s and women’s competitions, over 35s and walking football.
We administer competitions from under 13s right through to the McDonald’s National Premier League and McDonald’s Women’s Super League. We also promote participation at all levels; train and develop coaches and referees; develop talented players; and work with clubs and associations to grow the sport and ensure they have the infrastructure they need.
We’re working towards a Home of Football in the State’s south, to provide much-needed facilities for all levels of the game – including one day our own A-League club.
And in 2026, football is back in the spotlight when Australia hosts the Women’s Asian Cup – starring our very own Matildas – and the Socceroos will contest the men’s World Cup in the US, Mexico and Canada. Come and join us and get paid to celebrate the sport we love.
