About the role and day to day tasks:
As a Mechanical Designer at Lockheed Martin Australia, you will support the creation of custom mechanical designs and engineering drawings across the LMA portfolio, contributing to complex engineering projects through a range of activities, including:
* Preparing and updating 3D CAD models, detailed design drawings, schematics and wiring diagrams
* Evaluating the maturity and quality of product data provided by suppliers within the integrated data management system
* Conducting technical reviews of design outputs and deliverables to ensure compliance with requirements and standards
* Mentoring and supporting junior designers and drafters
* Developing and maintaining templates, standards and library elements
About you:
To be successful in this role you will have:

* Excellent problem-solving skills
* Substantial experience using 3D Computer Aided Design (CAD) software, PTC Creo Parametric preferred
* Extensive experience in both concept and detailed design of mechanical structures and electromechanical assemblies
* Proven ability to develop and manage large, complex CAD assemblies
* Strong experience in producing detailed engineering drawings to Australian drafting standards
