We are seeking a skilled Mental Health Recovery Practitioner to join our team.
Job Description:
* Cultivating therapeutic relationships with consumers, families, and significant others is key to your role as a Mental Health Recovery Practitioner. You will facilitate group sessions, conduct personalized recovery work, maintain accurate records, and contribute to ongoing service enhancements.
* Promote contemporary attitudes towards personal recovery and person-centered care. Engage family members, carers, and significant individuals in the consumer's support network as directed.
About the Role:
* Delivering high-quality services aligned with our values, mission, and vision, you will develop and implement recovery-focused group and individual programs for consumers accessing our services.
* Collaborate on meaningful recovery plans and regularly review them. Provide holistic services addressing total well-being, including physical health, aligned with mental health outcome areas.
* Assist Recovery Support Workers in implementing actions towards consumer recovery plan goals. Attend relevant clinical, administrative, and interagency meetings as necessary.
Key Responsibilities:
* Foster consumer participation in developing and leading co-produced and consumer-led groups. Facilitate groups based on experience, knowledge, and capability.
* Ensure timely completion of all documentation according to our policies and procedures. Participate in internal meetings, supervision sessions, and training activities.
* Contribute to maintenance of facilities and property. Address incidents according to our policies and procedures.
Qualifications and Experience:
* Degree in Mental Health or Human Service Discipline.
* Current National Police Clearance Certificate (no older than six months).
* A valid First Aid and CPR Certificate.
* A current working with Children Check.
* A valid Driver's licence.
Skills and Qualities:
* Experience in mental health or community services setting.
* Ability to work within a multidisciplinary team environment, promoting total wellbeing and holistic health services.
* Trauma-informed practice skills and understanding of trauma responses.
* Ability to facilitate emotional and personal recovery. Ability to hold hope for recovery.
* Positive attitude towards people experiencing mental distress.
* Lived experience of mental health recovery or as family members of people with a lived experience of recovery is desirable.
