The program Red Cross Shops sell new and donated clothes, accessories and homewares to raise funds to help people in need. Each year, we rescue 450 tonnes of clothing from landfill, give opportunities to 5000 volunteers and generate funds to help Red Cross support vulnerable people in Australia and around the world.
The opportunity Our Red Cross Shop at St Mary's are looking for enthusiastic volunteers to assist with store operations. We are currently seeking volunteers to assist with the collection of donations from businesses and homes across Adelaide and regional areas and delivering to our local shops. This position plays an important role in helping us ensure adequate stock levels are maintained.
You will hold a valid Australian driver's license, can drive a manual 1.5 tonne van and be able to lift and load furniture and stock boxes and bags. A minimum commitment of just four hours per week is required to volunteer. Inductions and Driver Safe training modules will need to be completed.
