– Local Authority – Predominantly Remote Working – 3 Months + - £60ph via umbrella
Venn Group's specialist Legal team is recruiting for a Locum Planning Lawyer to join a reputable Local Authority in the
South West
. This is a locum role for an
initial term of 3 months
and is subject to extension thereafter. Our client is ideally recruiting on a
full-time basis
. For this position you will need to be a qualified Solicitor, Barrister or Legal Executive.
Responsibilities
Holding own caseload of planning matters
Drafting and negotiating Section 106 agreements
Attending monthly planning committees
Supporting with regeneration from both a planning and governance perspective
Providing professional legal advice on planning law
Advising on both investigations on and enforcement against breaches of planning regulations
Advising planning and enforcement officers at all levels of seniority on a wide range of development management and planning-related matters
Qualifications
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Planning law gained within a Local Authority and will be confident to jump straight in and assist the team in what has proven to be a busy period. An hourly rate of up to
£60 (via umbrella company)
is offered for this position, alongside
predominantly remote working (with monthly attendance for planning committees)
.
