The Role

As an Occupational Therapist, you will deliver clinical assessments and evidence-based interventions to support clients in improving their daily functioning and independence. We are recruiting for a full-time position, with flexibility to consider part-time hours of up to 30 hours per week for the right candidate.

In this role, you will:

* Support children aged 0–12 who have experienced trauma to enhance their participation in daily life and engagement in education
* Build skills across sensory processing, learning, behaviour, motor development, social interaction, and independence
* Develop individualised, goal focused treatment plans in partnership with children and their families
* Use play-based approaches to promote engagement, learning, and skill development
* Work closely with parents and carers to strengthen their capacity to support children’s independence across environments
* Collaborate within a multidisciplinary team, liaising with GPs, nurses, psychologists, psychiatrists, and other stakeholders to ensure effective and coordinated care

About You

You are a qualified Occupational Therapist, either a recent graduate or an experienced clinician, registered with AHPRA. You bring a proactive and client-focused approach, with strong organisational skills and excellent attention to detail.

You are confident working both independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team, adapting flexibly to meet the needs of clients and services.

To be successful in this role, you will demonstrate:

* Strong initiative, organisational skills, and the ability to meet deadlines while maintaining accuracy
* The ability to respond appropriately to crisis situations and manage risk effectively
* Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills
* A solid understanding of EEO principles, workplace health and safety, safeguarding, and confidentiality requirements
* The capacity to deliver outreach services when required
* Confidence working collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team while also managing an independent caseload

You will also require a current police check, ACT Working with Vulnerable People Card and Driver’s Licence.
