Your New Role
As the Mechanical HVAC Project Manager, you will take full ownership of multiple projects from planning through to delivery. You'll ensure all projects are completed on time, within budget and in line with compliance, safety, and client expectations. This role requires strong leadership, technical capability and the commercial acumen to drive successful outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
Lead and manage HVAC projects end‑to‑end, ensuring compliance with specifications, WHS and Australian Standards.
Develop project schedules, budgets, cash flows and resource plans.
Oversee procurement of major equipment and materials, negotiating with suppliers to secure competitive pricing.
Coordinate subcontractors and internal teams to maintain project progress and quality.
Conduct risk assessments and implement mitigation strategies.
Manage financial reporting including progress claims, cost‑to‑complete forecasting and monthly project reports.
Build and maintain strong client relationships while identifying future business opportunities.
Drive continuous improvement initiatives across the HVAC division.
What You'll Need to Succeed
Technical Skills & Experience
Minimum 5 years' experience managing HVAC or mechanical services projects.
Strong understanding of mechanical engineering principles and HVAC systems.
Experience across estimating, procurement, contract administration and project delivery.
Ability to interpret technical drawings and engineer practical solutions.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and project management software; exposure to AutoCAD or Adobe Acrobat beneficial.
Qualifications
Diploma or Degree in Mechanical Engineering (or related field).
