Senior Risk and Compliance Manager Confidential | Leading Professional Services Firm About the Opportunity A leading professional services firm is seeking an experienced and commercially focused Senior Risk and Compliance Manager to join its senior leadership team. This is a critical role responsible for safeguarding the firm's operations, strengthening its risk culture, and ensuring compliance across all regulatory, client and governance obligations. Reporting directly to the CEO, this role partners closely with the Board, executive leadership and key stakeholders to proactively identify, assess and mitigate risk across the organisation. A major focus in FY26 will be the introduction and implementation of the AML/CTF regime, making this a highly visible and strategically important appointment. This opportunity will suit a senior risk and compliance professional who enjoys operating at an enterprise level within a complex, regulated environment. Key Responsibilities In this role, you will: Develop, implement and maintain enterprise-wide risk and compliance frameworks, with a strong focus on AML/CTF implementation and associated initiatives Act as the organisation's Risk & Compliance Officer, including membership of senior risk and governance committees Lead client compliance activities, including tender processes, contractual compliance management, protocol development and client reporting Oversee and continuously improve the organisation's ESG framework, working collaboratively with internal committees and stakeholders Own and maintain Business Continuity Planning (BCP) and implementation Conduct regular risk, compliance and privacy assessments, ensuring gaps are identified and addressed promptly Monitor regulatory and legislative change and ensure policies and procedures remain current Lead investigations into compliance incidents and breaches, recommending and overseeing corrective actions Provide practical, commercial risk and compliance advice to cross-functional teams Design and deliver organisation-wide training across AML/CTF, risk, compliance, privacy, ESG and business continuity Prepare high-quality reporting for the Board, executive leadership, key clients and regulators What This Role Involves Senior leadership, coaching and mentoring Enterprise risk identification and mitigation Regulatory compliance across all risk classes Governance, Board and executive reporting Incident and breach management Stakeholder and client engagement Data governance and integrity Training and risk awareness uplift About You You will bring: 8-10 years' experience in senior risk, compliance and privacy roles, ideally within legal, financial services or professional services Relevant tertiary qualifications in Risk, Compliance or Law (litigation experience advantageous) Strong understanding of AML/CTF, privacy, ESG and regulatory risk frameworks Demonstrated experience managing tender processes and contractual compliance obligations Strong analytical capability, including risk assessment and mitigation strategy development Confidence engaging with Boards, executives and senior stakeholders Broad financial and non-financial risk acumen and strong commercial judgement Excellent written and verbal communication skills High integrity, sound judgement and a collaborative leadership style The Organisation This organisation is a well-established, values-led professional services firm with a strong reputation for excellence, collaboration and long-term client relationships.
