**The Company**

They are currently experiencing an exciting period of change and growth and are looking to hire an Investment Analyst with a background in Private Equity to join the team in Brisbane.
**Responsibilities will include**:
- Assist in the management of existing Private Equity investments, working with investment team members and fund managers to optimise returns from existing portfolio assets
- Responsible for portfolio data insights including portfolio construction, valuation/liquidity analysis and portfolio composition insights
- Manage, monitor, and report on the performance of the Private Equity assets of the fund, including risk and ESG metrics at a portfolio manager and asset class level
- Assist in investment due diligence on opportunities including supporting the legal, financial and operational due diligence on target investments
- Assist in the preparation of investment related board and investment committee papers
- Research and maintain database of relevant pipeline and transactions
- Contribute to the asset allocation and asset class construction decision-making process in line with the ESG Policy and within the risk framework
- Support the Investments team in developing deeper relationships with incumbent managers and strategic partners to source investment ideas and opportunities
**About the Person**
- Tertiary education in relevant discipline. Post-graduate qualifications or studying towards these.
- Previous industry experience, including experience in portfolio management, investment due diligence and/or research of managers and investments in Private Equity
- Understanding of investment markets and of key issues relating to the superannuation sector desirable
- Knowledge of debt & equity capital markets and funds management across a range of private equity investments, both onshore and offshore
- Outstanding written and verbal communication skills
- Strong financial modelling, analytical and problem-solving capabilities
- Solid report writing capabilities and ability to write concise and clear investment related papers
- Ability to handle strict deadlines, with ability to manage workload effectively
