Job Summary
This key leadership role is responsible for guiding and mentoring a team of skilled technicians and apprentices. As the leader, you will oversee daily operations, ensure optimal workshop performance, and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
The ideal candidate will possess excellent leadership skills, strong communication abilities, and a deep understanding of workshop management practices.
Key Responsibilities
* Assign tasks and work areas to team members based on their skills and knowledge.
* Participate in equipment appraisal and repair processes.
* Provide guidance and support for diagnostic procedures.
* Maintain and inspect special tools.
* Recommend tool upgrades as needed.
In addition to leading the team, this role involves coordinating training sessions, assisting with safety meetings, and filling in for senior leaders when necessary. You will also have opportunities to contribute to equipment reconditioning, setup, and approval processes.
Requirements
* At least 3 years of experience as a Service Technician.
* Strong leadership abilities.
* Familiarity with John Deere and competitor products.
* Effective written and verbal communication skills.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office and internet applications.
* High School Diploma or equivalent experience.
* Forklift license preferred.
