Within the Organisational Development Program in the Enterprise Services Group, People Connect provides operational Human Resource (HR) recruitment, pay and conditions advice and services to the Bureau's employees. We provide a digital channel (Cherwell) as the first point of contact for all support queries and incidents, with outstanding customer service. We serve the Bureau's geographically interspersed workforce, and our work is interesting, challenging and varied.
The successful applicant will be a highly motivated APS pay and conditions specialist with a solid work ethic to become a member of the Bureau's Payroll Team. You will undertake tasks associated with the assessment and payment of employee conditions of employment, including the processing of entitlements using SAP HRMS, providing advice to employees and preparing associated correspondence and documentation.
In this role, you will collaborate with others while following established processes and using your judgment to make decisions. As a Senior Payroll Officer, you will handle day-to-day payroll transactions, assist the Payroll Services Team Leader with work distribution, and manage complex payroll tasks such as leave audits, under/overpayments, redundancy calculations, and taxation queries.
You will also support team members at lower classifications in their development and encourage career advancement.
