About the Position
We are currently seeking a Specialist Coach- Kick / Catch to join our coaching team in a part time capacity to deliver elite-level kicking and catching programs across all levels of the club. This is a rare opportunity to shape specialist skill development from our NRL and NRLW squads through to our Pathways and Knights Academy, in a club rich in tradition, known for its grit, driven to inspire, and ultimately determined to win.
Reporting to the Director of Football, NRL & NRLW Head Coaches, the successful candidate will be responsible for designing, delivering, and managing comprehensive kicking and catching programs. The role will prioritise senior team performance needs while fostering long-term skill development across Pathways, Knights Academy, and development squads.
Key focus areas include:
* Designing and implementing elite-level specialist programs in all kicking disciplines and advanced catching under pressure.
* Providing priority coaching to NRL and NRLW teams while supporting the club's talent Pathway system.
* Integrating specialist techniques into overall team strategies and game plans.
* Leading player assessments, development plans, and performance tracking in specialist skill areas.
* Collaborating with coaches, analysts, and performance staff to align technical and physical development.
About You
To thrive in this role, you will be a passionate and driven specialist coach with:
* Proven elite-level experience in kicking and catching coaching within a high-performance sporting environment.
* A deep technical knowledge of multiple kicking disciplines (field kicking, short kicking games, set restarts) and advanced catching techniques.
* The ability to design and deliver high-intensity, pressure-focused training for professional athletes.
* Strong collaboration skills to work closely with Head Coaches, analysts, and performance staff.
* A track record of developing players from pathway levels to elite competition.
Qualifications & Requirements
* Relevant high-performance coaching accreditation or equivalent elite-level coaching experience.
* Proven success in designing and delivering specialist skill programs.
* Strong understanding of Rugby League technical and tactical requirements.
* Working with Children Check (WWCC) and valid Driver's License.
