Latrobe Regional Health is looking for Manager Communications & Public Affairs to join our growing team on a full time (1.0EFT) ongoing basis.

The Manager Communications & Public Affairs works closely with the Chief Executive to lead and manage LRH's public profile and internal communications. This senior role is responsible for developing and coordinating strategic communications across the organisation to support engagement reputation management and community confidence. Working collaboratively with executives, clinicians and key external stakeholders, the position plays a critical role in strengthening LRH's profile and ensuring clear, consistent and timely communication.

The role of the Manager Communications & Public Affairs is:
Lead and coordinate strategic internal and external communications across LRH to support organisational objectives and community engagement.
Develop and implement effective public relations and media strategies to enhance LRH's reputation and public profile.
Provide high-level advice, briefings and reports to the Chief Executive, Board and senior executives.
Oversee internal communication strategies and activities to improve staff engagement and organisational alignment.
Liaise with media, government, health services and community stakeholders on communications and public affairs matters.
Lead communications team, ensuring compliance with policies, standards, quality processes and professional documentation practices.

About you
Ideal candidates for this role will have:
Proven communications and public affairs professional with demonstrated leadership experience.
Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to craft clear, accurate and engaging messaging.
Strategic thinker with strong organisational and project management capabilities.
Experienced in building effective relationships with executives, clinicians, media, government and community stakeholders.
Adaptable and resilient, able to manage competing priorities in fast-paced environment.
Demonstrates integrity, professionalism, collaboration and respect in all interactions.
Committed to organisational values, continuous improvement and high-quality outcomes.
