Council is seeking applications from enthusiastic, motivated individuals for the following position.

SENIOR DEVELOPMENT ASSESSMENT PLANNER (Permanent)

The Senior Development Assessment Planner is responsible for the efficient and accurate assessment of development applications, ensuring all proposals are evaluated with due consideration of social, economic, and environmental impacts, as well as statutory requirements. This role ensures that decisions are delivered consistently and in accordance with relevant planning legislation, environmental planning instruments, and applicable policies.

Qualifications: The successful applicant will be required to have completed a degree in planning or a similar qualification and hold an Australian Class C driver's licence.

Skills & Knowledge: The successful applicant will be required to have the ability to program and organise workloads to meet time scales, work with limited supervision, and have the ability to consult, negotiate and resolve conflicts and provide courteous customer service.

Hours of work: 35 hours per week.

Salary and conditions: Commencement annual salary range from $100,681.88 to $110,751.16 (Grade 17).
