The Role
We are seeking an exceptional and strategically minded Chief Operating Officer to join our executive leadership team. This critical role will work closely with the CEO to ensure operational excellence, drive business performance, and lead the organisation through its next phase of growth and innovation.
Key Responsibilities
* Provide strategic and operational leadership across all Corporate Operations functions, including Compliance, Facilities, ICT, Business Development, Marketing, and External Relations.
* Oversee day-to-day operations, driving efficiency, compliance, and continuous improvement across divisions.
* Collaborate with the CEO, executive team, and General Managers to develop and execute long-term operational strategies that support growth and innovation.
* Support the development and execution of sales strategies and contribute to market intelligence to ensure agile responses to emerging opportunities.
* Work closely with the CFO to manage budgets, forecasting, and financial performance within the Operations Division, ensuring effective resource allocation.
* Lead risk and compliance functions, ensuring policies and mitigation strategies are in place to maintain business continuity and organisational resilience.
* Build strong relationships with key internal and external stakeholders, representing Omni Executive with credibility and professionalism.
* Foster a high-performance culture aligned with Omni's values, while developing and mentoring future leaders across the organisation.

Our ideal candidate will bring strategic insight, sound commercial judgement and a practical hands-on leadership style. They will naturally inspire teams create clarity and executive with discipline – qualities that make them a strong and steady presence at the heart of our organisation. With experience as a COO or in a similar operational role, our ideal candidate will be adept at leading cross-functional teams, driving continuous improvement and embedding a culture of accountability and collaboration. They will hold the relevant tertiary qualifications in Business, Commerce, Management or a related field.
Essential Requirements
The below key requirements are required to be demonstrated by all employees to Omni.
* Be an Australian Citizen
* Hold a current Australian Government Security Clearance (Negative Vetting 2 preferred) or be willing to obtain one
* Have excellent communication, negotiation and relationship building skills
In addition, this role will require
* A Bachelor's degree or Post Graduate qualification in Business, Human Resources, Government or a relevant field. MBA Preferred.
* A current Company Directors Course qualification or the ability to acquire one
* Minimum 10 years' senior or executive management experience in a relevant field
* Strong strategic thinking and execution capability
* Proven experience in change leadership, stakeholder management, and cross-functional collaboration
The successful candidate will benefit from a comprehensive handover with the outgoing COO, enabling a smooth and informed transition into the role and will be ably supported by a strong, dedicated team of senior managers and support staff.
